LTM Memorial Weekend

Sorry for not blogging much lately. Things have been very busy back at the office. LTM had a great turnout for the weekend.

Saturday's grass track was fun as always. Was happy to see a few AHRMA racers come in for that. I'll catch you guys again in a couple weeks. Well, I could have done without those kamikaze gnats or whatever they were. It was impossible to get down in the grass and be able to see anything. I think my forehead is now one continuous bug bite despite dousing myself in a possible overdose of OFF.

First hare scramble of the season was all Lee Lankutis and Donnie Ockerman. Those two were flying through the very rough track. 50's and 65 beginners put on a great show also. Those kids never give up and fought all the way. It was a little difficult picking out who everyone was with new bikes and gear covered in mud. It takes me a couple races to realize who you all are out there sometimes.

Monday was pretty much a wash. My gear takes a beating enough as it is so I hung up the camera and just watched the mud races. Mud is a good test of a racer, but there comes a point when it's just too dangerous to the rider. Tim made a good call and shut it down after the first moto. It would have been an excellent track if the rain had just held off a couple of hours.
