MAORA on U Tube

Got a call tonight from Barry Purcell of the Harrison County Trailblazers. They were out shooting video of the MAORA races on Saturday. Video is finished and on U Tube now. Great job guys!

Still haven't figured out how to embed videos here so a link will have to do.

Thank You Crawford County!

On behalf of MAORA and myself I want to thank all the fine folks of Crawford County for coming out to the fair grounds this weekend. Thanks to Marengo-Liberty, Milltown, Leavenworth and English Volunteer Fire Depts. along with the Crawford County EMS. (I hope I remembered them all) Now another big thanks to all the fans who came out to watch. I think you got a pretty good show this weekend. Good racing action and some rollovers with no serious injuries. Those don't always happen, but had a couple this weekend.

Pictures will be available online by Tues. at the latest. Stay tuned to the MAORA web site or here for the exact date and time of the Sept. race. They should have everything set up in a couple weeks. Tentative race date of Sept. 12th at Crawford County Fair grounds!

Schedule Changes

I try very hard not to change my schedule once it's set other than squeezing in make up races. Sometimes opportunities come around that are too good to pass up. And luckily it didn't mean dropping a track entirely; just switching the weekend. So, the August races have been moved around some and I think it will actually be better. Now I'll hit Backwoods on their Bonus Race day (16th). Going to be a lot of driving that weekend for me. Home -- Casey -- Backwoods and home again. Too bad I can't get 'frequent driver' miles! The change allows me to make it up to Trojan Raceway in North Webster for round 2 of the Indiana State race Aug. 29/30.

Hangtime GP

Back to Hangtime this past Sunday for some GP racing. Not a huge turnout with the holiday weekend and Red Bud going on, but there was still plenty of good racing. Stuck pretty close to the start area without a quad to get me around. If anyone has a small enclosed trailer (under 10 ft.) please drop me a line or call. Very interested!

I know you Hangtime racers must not be used to having a photographer around. Please stop watching me! The kids I shoot often know that I will stop taking their picture if I catch them watching me. I drop the camera down and give them the "Mom's pissed" look as they go by the next lap. So guys if you want pics pay attention to racing! I'm really not that fascinating.
The IVORME guys were out again. I love the Vintage bikes. Works of art in motion. It's amazing the time and effort put in to keep these bikes racing. Not to mention the expense. Tough to find parts. (note: www.cheapcycleparts.com if you're hunting new/used parts) Congrats to Randy Abner for winning the drawing for an 8x10 print. Give a big thanks to them for bringing me up north; otherwise I might not have found my way to Hangtime.
I will be working on my schedule to try and be at D&D on Aug. 8/9th. I'd like to get in another GP, but looking doubtful at the moment. Always check the PBP schedule for any changes. You never know if something might open up.

Get well soon Austin

Big get well soon to Austin Stewart. Austin crashed at Red Bud over the weekend. Broken tib/fib and crushed his ankle. Will undergo surgery on Thursday.

Who's looking at you?

Spent a little time recently checking on my web site stats. Google Analytics is a really cool tool to find out who is visiting your web site and what pages they check out. Sometimes it's rather surprising. Here is a small rundown of PBP viewers:

Top Countries:
1. US
2. Bahrain
3. Canada
4. Kuwait
5. Brazil

Big shout out to the guys/gals overseas! Hi Jamie and Drew! If James Probst is looking please drop me a line if you can. I'd love to hear from you. We miss you all and hope you're back home soon.

Top States:
1. Illinois
2. Indiana
3. Ohio
4. New York
5. Michigan

New York is a surprise, but quite a few hits from there. California is also in the top 10.

Top Cities:
1. Terre Haute
2. Chicago
3. Gilliespie
4. Indianapolis
5. New York

New York? Who'd a thunk it? This one varies depending on if school is in session or not. During the school year Evansville and Bloomington move up the list quite a bit.

I will be kind and not point out who the most looked at picture is of at the moment. hint......he's a quad A mx racer. Running a very close second is an AHRMA post vintage shot. I have a feeling this will change once the last hare scramble pictures have been up for awhile. Everyone loves a good crash shot. (note: if a rider is seriously injured I will not put up those shots unless they ok it first)

Another note I should add here. If you do not want pictures of yourself or your child on the internet I completely understand. Just let me know the riders number, mx/hare/MAORA, and a description of the bike/vehicle/quad so I can pick those out. I don't usually do a lot of pit shots and candids, but just say so if you'd rather those not be on line.
