Looking ahead to 2010

All the plaque pictures for 2009 have been sent out to the tracks for printing. Now it's on to MAORA award posters. Working on a new design for those.

The 2009 race pictures will remain on the website until Jan. 1st. We can put pictures back online if needed.

My 2010 schedule is taking shape and I hope to have all dates confirmed shortly after the first of the year. Check the PBP website around mid January for a tentative schedule.

Team Hare @ LTM

After weeks of rain Mother Nature smiled down on Lincoln Trail for the last race of 2009. Thanks again to Shelly and her hare scramble crew for making it another great year in the woods.

Not a huge turnout, but I'm sure many were not looking forward to a mud race after Ironman. Like always LTM dried out in no time. I was eating dust on the big bike start. Now once I hit the woods it was a different story.

Ty Kinkelaar deserves the ultimate Ironman award. Ty finished the 1 1/2 hour 85cc race then jumped back to the start line to run in C class! He did an awesome job, but I'm sure he fell asleep in class today.

I don't put family up here very often, but hey....Andy (above) and Lance Nunn placed 1st! Good going guys.

I didn't fair much better than the camera.

See you all next spring!

Christina.....Tilt Ya Head Back

From the minds of Scott Moake, MXDecalz, Bobby Elkins and Dreyer Cycles comes the "Christina Bike". What a beauty. Now, I'm not a huge Christina Aguilera fan, but I love this bike! Those of you in the Indiana area have no doubt seen Bobby and Christina at Reads tracks and other events. If you haven't you are missing a treat. Bobby races this 2009 Yamaha WR250R in both MX and GP Dual Sport classes. Before Christina there was a Paris Hilton bike. Wonder what they have in store for next year? How about a Daugherty bike for us gals?

Bobby Elkins racing at Hangtime GP.

P.S...This bike is for sale. Contact Dreyer Cycle in Indy

Lincoln Trail Appreciation Weekend

PBP is gearing up for the last MX races of the year at Lincoln Trail. Want to try freestyle? FMX East is holding an amateur competition after the regular races on Saturday. Keep your fingers crossed I've got decent daylight left to get those shots.

Not sure what all Tim has lined up for prize drawings, but we've put in a chance for a 6 foot custom trailer graphic. (psst...I'll give away another at CRMX the following weekend;)

Fall Classic

MAORA Fall Classic 2009 wasn't quite the mud fest I was expecting with all the rain last week. Track was a bit rough on Saturday for the short course, but it kept things exciting.
Missed the rollovers again. I'm never in the right spot when those happen.
Sunday's Enduro course had to be shortened because of the mud, but they still managed to find some. Tear offs were necessary, but a glove works too!

Frana tried camouflaging the car with weeds. Doesn't work John; they can still hear you a half mile away.
President's Cup winner for the second year: Mark Lupfer

Until next year......

This was my last weekend at Hangtime for 2009. I sure hope to be back in 2010. It's a great track with good people both racing and behind the scenes.
A little comic relief. He also defies the laws of physics and jumps!
Dust of the good sort was found.

And of course it wouldn't be Hangtime without some air!
Sunday was back to the GP's and some sweet muddy fun. Thanks Mikey for giving me a much overdue mud fix.
Although some did manage to stay clean......
Others didn't fair quite so well.
Thumbs up to you too! Great racing, dude. Give me a holler and I'll always try to holler back.
And help you out of the ruts;)
Aahh.....the sweetest for last. IVORME Vintage! I'm a sucker for an old bike.

9/08/09 LTM Illini Finals

Did ya catch me now?

Keeze and Aaron battled it out all weekend long. I bet they were sleeping in class on Tuesday.

New faces who fly!

I don't care what Michael says......Kirt was stylin' in his old school gear!

Michael Clewley back on the track.

Aaron Thompson got a taste of the 125. Now lets just keep you in front of Keeze.

Cory Deadmond on the gas.

Little guys get air too.

Jacob Lynch
It was a teriffic weekend at Lincoln Trail and all the racers looked great. As of now it was my last MX race there for the season. I may try to get back for Appreciation weekend, but no gaurentees. Hard to believe the season will be winding down soon. Stay well, ride hard, and give Lincoln a belly rub from me.

9/6/09 Hare Scramble

I haven't done very many hares this year; so I'm sure I would get names wrong. How about just some pictures.

Lee Lankutis gets by a somewhat stuck rider.

Clayton Noblitt gets the holeshot.

Clint Pherigo coming down the hill.

Pit crew? Spectators? or Woods Rats? I vote the latter.

9/5/09 Grass Track Highlights

Roy Rissler going above and beyond as usual fixing Shane Cornwell's quad. Nothing like having your sponsor around to do repairs at the race.

TJ parks it on "freestyle" hill to get the best view of the start.

Aaron Miller back home from Alabama! We miss you!

A PBP favorite: David Howard caught my eye a long time ago then kind of faded. He's really stepped up his game this year and it shows. Keep it coming.

Hare racer Derek Toberman hit the grass track and was flying until.........crack! As in the case. Ouch. No prob., repaired and back at it again on Sunday.

Donnie Ockerman and Kevin Shull battled both motos.
Carter Gordon going for the Grand Slam: 1st in 65 Jr., 85 Sr., and Mini 1. With the track championship sewn up he's concentrating on the 85's from here on. Had to get lots of Team Green shots while I could. Will he stay with Susuki or change brands again? It's Carter; who knows.

LTM grass track is famous for slick starts. This race was pretty decent with TJ disking it up a little and taking it easy on the water, but still made for a little excitement.
