Playing catch up

It's been quite awhile since I've added to the blog. Things have been pretty busy around here and just haven't gotten around to it. Let's see; what has been happening the past few weeks.........

Trojan MX Memorial Day weekend was the Buff Daddy/Bad Azz Babe Series. Six, yes 6, races in four days. Wow! Hot as heck and action packed.

A little GP action. I heard there was a turtle in the trail somewhere....hope he survived!

Levi Johnson (404) and Caden Roberts (446) in I think one of the Youth races.

Heading up north is a treat for this quad gal. I get to catch Lindsey Sandel in the quad B class (#714). Lindsey had a great weekend with Saturday night being some of the best racing. She took off after Michael Schooley (#81) and another rider got tangled up in the first turn. Jacob Grover tried several times to make the pass, but Lindsey fought hard. Grover did manage to make it around on the last lap for the win, but I sure give that young lady props for keeping her head.

Next up was a fun trip with Andy and Mary to Perfect North Slopes for an IXCR race.

Andy making it through the "test" section.

Bikes had a nasty slick mess to deal with after heavy rains the day before almost cancelled the race. Yep, those are lift chairs on the upper left.

The Midwest Amateur Championship race at D&D had a good turnout. Nice track with a good mix of sand and loam.

Boone County boy Michael Warmoth. How I never knew Michael in high school is beyond me. You would think growing up in a small town you knew everyone.
Oh well, he's great to watch on the track now!

Derek Landry throws a little sand through the corner.

Crossroads MX held the north central amateur Loretta Lynn Regional. This was my first experience doing such a large race. I was nervous as can be the week prior, but once I hit the track all was fine. Capturing so many talented riders was fun and a challenge.

Jack Lambert celebrated a little early on his way to a 1-1-1 win in Senior 45+

Local rider Ryan Tracy hits the corner with style.

Another Senior 45+ rider, Warren Tyson, was so excited to get his picture taken with trophy girl Julie Gracy. Julie told him he had to make the podium and he fought hard for a 3rd place finish.

Want ruts? You got 'em at Crossroads!

Now, I think we're almost caught up. Last, but not least is Backwoods MX. We don't make it down to Tennyson very often. It sure is a fun track. We always meet new riders and enjoy the common love of MX.

Spencer Louden airing out the KTM.

I didn't get a gate, so names escape me on this one. #457 takes the inside line to get around #704.

Brett Gourley getting in some seat time before Loretta's.

I think that takes us up to the present. PBP will be at Lincoln Trail this weekend for Moto Midwest Series.
